Hot July in Texas

July is usually hot in Texas, but with the worst drought in decades the hot weather is even more hard to take. Pray for rain in Texas! Without rain, crops fail or are not even planted. Wheat, corn, sorghum [cattle feed], cotton and many more crops not grown or harvested mean higher prices for products in the store like cotton fabric, Frito chips, cereals, corn, and many more items.  Pray for rain in Texas!
Laura is trying to find a toad, but the hot Texas weather means fewer toads too! She has not seen a single one all summer.
At least the herb garden is growing and loving the hot summer sun!  The garden has sweet Italian basil, Italian parsley, oregano, bee balm, thyme, and rosemary. I love cooking with fresh herbs. Just brushing my hand through them and inhaling the perfume they give lifts my spirit.

Pray for rain in Texas!!
