The Sew-In in Phoenix 2011 was awesome....maybe the best ever! At least for me, this year was a treasure. I of course had such a great time with my sister and her family before leaving for the sew-in. Once at the wonderful Embassy Suites in Tempe, we found ourselves treated like queens for a whole weekend.
I took the workshop with Patrick Lose for the extra day to kick off the event. I came home with a wonderful round Sunflower table topper that looks fabulous in my kitchen.
Throughout the event, I visited with all the sewing friends and acquaintances from past years. I did get some sewing done in spite of all the talking! The last part of Saturday my sister and I traveled around the room to see what the rest of the "girls" had been working on the past 2 days. Wow! I must tell you that I was absolutely blown away at the incredible skills and talent in the room. What an absolute privilege to be in the same room with all this creativity and knowledge of sewing, quilting, embroidery, applique, etc, etc. I only wish I could suck the brains of everyone there and leave an unquestioned expert! Instead, I got to ask questions, take pictures, share knowledge and grow, grow, grow.
I left the event so inspired, so motivated and so excited to try new sewing techniques, new patterns, new fabrics, new tips, etc. etc.
Thank you Phoenix Sew-In 2011 for once again breathing new life into my passion!
Here are a few more pictures of my finished projects, followed by the best part....some of my friends there.

Items: a) Border Table Runner, b) Outfit for Granddaughter, Kelsi and c) Outfit for Granddaughter, Katelyn.
I also failed to take more pictures of my sister....what was I thinking! Obviously, just too busy having fun with her to take pictures.
Hey, is it time to sign up for next year? I am ready.
